    André Michelle is a great guy and has inspired us in ways he cannot even begin to understand. His ToneMatrix was one of the major forces behind the music system we created for Fractal.

  • Frenzic

    The Iconfactory really took out all the stops on Frenzic. The gameplay is amazing and just looks gorgeous. Frenzic is the perfect illustration of a small idea done amazingly well. It sets a new bar for production quality.

  • Lumines

    There have been very few “new” puzzle games in a long time. However, Lumines has definitely crossed the river from a re-invented game all the way to a completely unique one. What really makes the game special to us is the great merger between gameplay and audio.

A New Dimension of Fun

From the creators of the award-winning game Auditorium comes Fractal, a new ambient music puzzler experience. Combo, Chain, and Cascade your way through a pulsing technicolor dreamscape that reacts to your every move, while manipulating Fractals, creating Blooms, and expanding your consciousness at 130 BPM.

On the surface it's a mere puzzle game, but as you dig deeper, untold dimensions of expression unfold. Intuitive but complex, challenging but not harsh, Fractal is a truly engaging experience.

Ridiculous Powerups

  • Wildcard

    Wildcards can take on the face of any colored Fractal. Use these special little guys to setup easy Blooms. Every powerup takes on the basic properties of a Wildcard.

  • Explode

    Execute this tough guy and he’ll detonate the perimeter of Fractals surrounding a Bloom.

  • Convert

    Every once in a while you just want a little more color. The convert powerup will change the perimeter of a Bloom to match it’s color, sometimes resulting in immense combos and cascades.

  • Link

    Using a Link will remove every matching Fractal that is touching the Bloom. Make sure your colors are connected, then watch as the link wreaks havoc on your poor little Fractals. We call these groups of color Islands.

  • Burst

    The burst powerup may just seem like a shot in the dark, but she’s really just unique. Activating a Burst will make a Bloom expand twice as large. Then those Fractals will push on any Fractals in their perimeter. Performing a perfect Burst will result in a magnificent Honeycomb which can then be used for some easy cascades.

  • Combine Powerups

    If just one powerup just isn’t doing the trick, activate a few together and watch as they combine to create new and interesting effects.

Scoring Possibilities

  • Blooms

    Placing 7 fractals together to form a larger Fractal will result in a Bloom.

  • Seeds

    Seeds are worth many more points and are created at the center of a Bloom.

  • Combos

    Creating complex Blooms using more than 7 Fractals results in combos. Every Fractal present in these Blooms will add to your combo count incrementing your score dramatically.

  • Cascades

    When Blooms occur, the perimeter Fractals fly outwards. This mechanism can be used to create new Blooms for massive cascading fun.

  • Fractal Chains

    Every Fractal removed from your sonic garden will always come back to life in another location. These random Fractals can result in lucky Blooms. These little lucky charms are called Fractal Chains.
